The Color
This green color comes from three different extracts: chlorophyll powder, powder from isatis tinctoria, and turmeric powder. Chlorophyll is derived from alfalfa and seaweed. The isatis tinctoria, better known as the woad plant. This plant has been used since ancient times; it is known that the Egyptians used this plant to make blue pigment. The leaves are plucked from the plant and rolled into a ball. After drying in the sun, the leaves are ground into a fine powder pigment. In addition to these natural ingredients, no chemicals are ever used during the dyeing process.
