Wastewear,
Our Sustainable
Clothing Line
Dyed using food waste like paprika, coffee, turmeric, with significant savings on water and electricity!
Dye clothing sustainably in your business’s signature color
From 50 pieces (a combination of aprons, waist aprons, chef coats, etc.), we can sustainably dye chef clothing using food production leftovers. Want a red chef coat? We can dye it with paprika, for example. Prefer a pink apron? Then we might use red berries.
Be unique with chef clothing dyed using food waste!
Wastewear, where sustainability and innovation come together to give chef clothing a unique and green transformation.
At Wastewear, sustainability is key. Our distinctive approach focuses not only on aiming for a circular economy but also on using sustainable fabrics and dyeing with food waste. It’s an opportunity for hospitality businesses to engage in sustainability in a creative way.
Food Waste as Inspiration
At Wastewear, we use orange peels, coffee grounds, paprika, carrots, and more as natural pigments. Not only is this a sustainable alternative, but it’s also a fun nod to the hospitality industry. It’s a way to give waste that’s often discarded a new purpose while giving our chef clothing a colorful, vibrant look. Plus, we don’t use chemicals and nothing is wasted.
How do we work?
At Wastewear, we dye afterward, which means we first produce white chef clothing from organic cotton and recycled polyester. Once the garment is produced, we dye it afterward in the desired color. We use a concentrate of organic materials and add it to achieve the correct color.
Sustainable fabrics for a greener future
In addition to our innovative dyeing process, we use sustainable fabrics to reduce our environmental impact. Our chef clothing is made from recycled PET bottles and organic cotton, currently the most sustainable fabrics on the market. This way, we close the loop and contribute to a more sustainable hospitality industry.
